JOB DESCRIPTION
As Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”), you are responsible for identifying, evaluating, and closing attractive new SaaS companies for ASG. This role will have a high degree of leadership, responsibility, and autonomy. Your role will cover both new platform investing for ASG and add-on investing for these platforms. You will work closely with our portfolio company CEOs, Board members, sourcing teams, and cross-functional teams at ASG during the investing process.Â
As VP, you are expected to lead the full deal process, including overseeing all diligence streams, authoring the investment thesis, and leading discussions with our Investment Committee. You will report to ASG’s President and Head of M&A and have the opportunity to manage some of our junior M&A members. We are a small team, have a flat organization, and deeply believe in giving each member a lot of responsibility.Â

- Play a key leadership role in a small but fast-growing software investing company.
- Work closely with our portfolio company CEOs to grow their businesses through add-ons.
- Co-create and own our acquisition thesis for many of our portfolio companies.
- Lead the investing process from beginning to end, with a high degree of autonomy. You will negotiate with counterparties, develop relationships and “win the deal” with sellers, run thoughtful and impactful diligence streams, and lead conversations with our investment committee.
- Sharpen your deal acumen. We have a “deal-forward” culture with a track record of closing a dozen+ deals each year.

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in or around private equity investing.
- Track record of closing multiple deals, ideally in software.
- Strong interest in software companies.
