Job Description
INDUSTRIAL COLOR in TriBeCa, New York is looking for a video editor. Our group of vertically integrated companies - Industrial Color Studios, Smashbox Studios and globaledit - offers end-to-end services including live action video, CG, eCommerce photo studio facilities, photo and video capture, retouching, post-production, and creative workflow solutions. We serve the fashion, retail, advertising, media and entertainment industries worldwide.
            
We are looking for a VIDEO EDITOR who will be responsible for the on-time and on-budget delivery of all assigned video projects, primarily editing, audio, finishing CG and animation. As our company offers an end to end production services solution, the video editor will often coordinate combined production with the other divisions of CoCreativ. The producer is also responsible for working with the Vice President of Production and Executive Producer to monitor the production workflow including markup/notes review, client feedback, level of effort, client requests and all delivery deadlines.
Roles/Responsibilities• Strong knowledge of post production process, starting with creative ideation + storyboards, through the edit process, integration with graphics and CG departments, and finishing• Experienced in bidding out projects and creating SOWs• Project management software experience (Frame IO, Workfront, Shotgun)• Strong multitasking skills - ability to manage several larger projects with high volume deliverables, along with medium/lower-lift projects• Client-facing - must have strong writing skills and ability to communicate deadlines and project milestones to clients on a daily basis• Cultivate positive relationships with vendors and freelancers - negotiating where needed and clearly communicating project feedback and requirements• Ability to give creative direction to editors and artists, when needed• Attention to detail when QCing work before delivering to clients, when needed• Experience producing digital content deliverables - i.e. multiple versions / assets, exported to varying specs per media platform• Create a positive environment, strong team-oriented approach to projects• Track and manage project budgets, POs and invoices• Define appropriate resource needs to meet project requirements and deliverables• Manage all project communications, document meeting notes and ensure the team is briefed throughout the project on client feedback and upcoming posting dates
Requirements• 4+ years in a producer role in post production and video editor• Bachelor's degree or higher in either creative, visual or communications• Experience in commercial and editorial content and what's required to create outstanding high-
end visuals, regardless of budget• Experience in the management of CG stills & animation• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Professionalism when working with high-end clients and brands• Strong financial acumen and knowledge of budgeting• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills• Strong attention to detail• Fluent with basic office productivity software (G Suite, MS Office)• Budgeting software experience (Actualize It preferred, HotBudget, AICP)• Project management software experience (Frame IO, Workhorse, Shotgun)• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and handle demanding deadlines
Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
