VP, Engineering

This newly structured and opened position will report directly to the CTO of Testlio. As VP, Engineering, you will be focusing on holistically advancing our testing management and workforce optimization technology platform.  In Engineering, we strive to be great at our software development craft, leverage technological advancements, and deliver tangible business impact. We believe in data-driven engineering, integrated software ecosystems (Testlio integrates with seven categories of DevOps tools), and modern hybrid agile methodologies. This role will define, implement and lead various technical programs, engineering productivity and performance metrics to advance our software delivery processes.

• Strategic partner to CTO to develop technical strategy and roadmaps, organizational setup, growth plans, budgeting.
• Directly lead and manage an anticipated group of five Engineering Managers, DevSecOps, and Quality Engineering.  
• Deliver technical roadmaps by driving technology investments within engineering teams, aligned to business goals. We grant 30-50% to each team to tackle quality, scalability, performance, technical debt and other technical focus items.
• Lead talent recruiting for software development, AI/ML, data science, DevOps, quality, and other engineering talent
• Own (S)SDLC and Engineering Experience to unlock cost and time-to-market efficient pipelines as our core assets
• Develop standards and procedures to ensure quality, performance, security is built into our software deliverable and delivered consistently across teams
• Foster data-driven engineering - create, monitor and improve engineering metrics to drive objective decisions
• Partner with Design and Product functions to align roadmap processes and contribute to future horizons
• Remain hands on. While leading and managing, you will jump into architecting, problem solving, and coding to help advance key initiatives

• A university degree in computer science subject, MSc preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in building and managing teams of 10-100
• 5+ years of experience of daily coding as a software engineer, working across full stack environments
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise software industry related to SaaS, PaaS and B2B products
• Track record of building performant, scalable and modern cloud applications.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or/and Google Cloud
• Fluent in English. Great communication and presentation skills
• A deep belief in distributed software development teams, empowering cross-region remote teams to succeed  
• A passion to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Previous experience of building AI/ML based experiences is a strong plus
• Experience working in technology-powered services companies is a plus
