As a VP, Insurance on our Insurance Team, you willown the strategic management and P&L oversight for existing and new programs for the team in Europe. You will build on the existing Insurance team infrastructure, expand our Insurance capabilities and expertise and deliver sustainable, innovative and profitable protection products to our insurance and distribution partners.

To drive success in this role, you will have extensive experience in the Insurance industry as a Commercial Lead; leading commercial negotiations and having a deep understanding of the insurance value chain and its dynamics. Experience in managing multiple external and internal stakeholders with competing priorities and incentives is key. 

As the VP, Insurance you will focus on profitable growth, a key imperative is to maintain and manage a competitive portfolio across the region, as well as maximise value and revenue for Cover Genius within the region. An important element of success in the role in the development of long term, strategic and equitable relationships with the EMEA Insurance ecosystem. Regular collaboration with Executive Leadership, Strategic Partnerships, Legal, Compliance and external regulators, third party primary and reinsurance partners will be key in ensuring we drive bottom line underwriting profitability for Cover Genius insurance entities

What you will bring;

• 8+ years of experience in the insurance industry as commercial director or senior underwriter with P&L responsibility over a product line or group of clients.
• Proven experience in running a growing and diversified portfolio of business to profitability
• In-depth understanding of the insurance industry, including pricing, analytics and close interactions with actuarial teams.
• Exposure and good understanding of different insurance structures across the MGA, insurance and Reinsurance space
• Client facing experience with senior management to negotiate contracts or to strategise on how to grow the business and/or to drive profitability.
• Excellent report writing skills, experience preparing reports and presentations for Senior management / Committee or Board review.
• Be pragmatic, solutions-oriented and efficient.
• Conscientious with developing collaborative relationships with business stakeholders
• Ability to think strategically to design solutions and then translate those solutions into actionable programs of work.
• Strong network amongst UK & EMEA insurance carriers and broader industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional teams (Incl. sales, business development, product and finance) to deliver high quality outcomes to timelines
