This person is a leader, collaborator, communicator, as well as highly analytical in guiding the broader product organization and it's internal stakeholders. The right candidate has a bias for data and action, and understands when a process fuels faster speed to market and when it slows it down. Finally, this person is capable diving deep into the details of our products, customers, and businesses, while also maintaining clarity of our most strategic needs.

In this role, you will be the enabler of market and product insights, product development operating mechanisms, high impact reporting and analysis, and organizational alignment between product management and other Norstella stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and govern the processes, communication and stakeholder engagement tied to product development efforts across all Norstella business units.
  • Lead the collation and synthesis of market and customer insights, including but not limited to market analysis, competitive intelligence, and clients engagement.
  • Support development of comprehensive messaging frameworks, "battle cards," competitive playbooks, and other assets that successfully arm sales and customer success teams with detailed competitive intelligence and resources. Work with stakeholders such as go-to-market, product marketing and product management to drive these insights into the business units and product commercialization efforts.
  • Build and refine a right-sized competitive intelligence response process for existing competitors and emerging threats and partner with Product Marketing and/or Commercial Enablement to establish competitor-specific training curriculums supporting all customer-facing teams
  • Guide the development of Norstella's new product development platform / development toolkit with the support and engagement of multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop and lead a team of product operations and product management professionals.
  • Support the Global Chief Product Officer on any number of strategic initiatives as they arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in multi-product-line market intelligence / product ops / product marketing roles.
  • 6+ years in a senior product or insights role at a fast-paced SaaS and/or data products environment. Will have brought to market multiple product offerings over a very short amount of time.
  • 5+ years deep domain experience in one or more of the following: real world data, clinical trials, pharma competitive intelligence, market access and/or drug commercialization.
  • 5+ years in product or customer analytics, adept at research and insights, as well as meaningfully communicating those insights.
  • Can pivot easily and quickly from market insights to the tactics of product development.
  • Excellent communicator and ability to manage across a broad stakeholder set including product, technology, commercial and delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple, often times competing, priorities.
  • Excellent at simplifying and synthesizing complex and disparate data sets
  • Highly resourceful. Can influence across a broad set of stakeholders. With a strong data-centric approach, capably designs and implements frameworks that facilitate prioritization and decision making

Successful candidates will have demonstrated success through the following:

  • Experience in the biopharma / life sciences market intelligence / consulting / service provider market
  • Strong business acumen to analyze competitive strategies and propose effective countermeasures
  • Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written, and visual
  • Experience in establishing, optimizing, and maintaining competitive intelligence services for monitoring competitors and developing competitive response content
