W2 - Senior Data Analyst

Job Type:Contract (3+ Months, potential for extension) Location:Hybrid – Preference for candidates in San Diego or California Start Date:Targeted for mid-August 2025 Work Hours:8 AM – 5 PM (Monday to Friday) Job Overview: We are seeking a Data Analyst 3 to support the review, optimization, and development of analytical models. This position requires strong programming skills and the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance existing tools and frameworks. Key Responsibilities: • Assess and enhance existing models (SAS, SQL, Python, VBA). • Collaborate with SMEs to understand current tools, purposes, and business objectives. • Design and develop new analytical models as needed. • Recommend and implement improvements to existing tools. • Leverage Tableau for reporting or monitoring, if time allows. Must-Have Skills: • Proficiency in SAS and SQL programming • Experience with VBA programming • Strong command of Python for data analysis Nice-to-Have Skills: • Tableau for data visualization • Excellent communication skills—must be able to translate complex code into plain language • Strong time management and organizational capabilities Job Type: Contract Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Ability to Commute: • San Diego, CA 92108 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • San Diego, CA 92108: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
