Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / BACKUP DRIVER Position Purpose: Warehouse dutiesinclude using RF scanning system to stock and pull materials, equipment, and other items for shipping or delivery. Truck Driving dutiesinclude delivering material, product and equipment within the sales territory for the distribution center. MUST possess a VALID Driver's License with NO DWI/DUI. Must be over the age of 19. Job Responsibilities: · Examines freight and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment. · Confers and corresponds with supervisors or sales representatives to resolve problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications. · Stores materials, equipment and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. · Delivers or routes materials to shipping or delivery areas in the warehouse, using work devices, such as hand-trucks, carts, pallet jacks and lift-trucks. · Packs, seals and labels packages to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools and power tools. · Loads packages onto trucks or trailers for delivery. · May record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes. · May prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. · General housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in warehouse. · Perform other duties, as assigned. Required Experience/Knowledge/Skills: · Must have a clean 3-year driving history with no DWI · Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check · Ability to read a map and follow directions to customer sites · Good knowledge of basic math and reading skills · Active listening skills to contribute to effective communication. · Must be able to drive a forklift · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. · Comfortable walking and standing for more than 80% of the work day.
