Warehouse Custodian

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas. • Maintain floors through buffing and waxing as needed to ensure a polished appearance. • Conduct commercial cleaning duties in various settings, including offices, restrooms, and common areas. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of building infrastructure. • Carry out industrial cleaning procedures for specialized equipment or areas as required. • Provide porter services by transporting materials and supplies throughout the facility. • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are maintained properly and stored safely. • Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as they arise. • Occasionally assist with residential painting projects when needed. Qualifications • Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Good physical stamina; able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. • Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is beneficial. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
