Warehouse Custodian

Job Summary: The Warehouse Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. This role ensures that all areas of the warehouse, including storage areas, offices, restrooms, and break rooms, are kept in optimal condition to support efficient warehouse operations and employee safety. Key Responsibilities: • Sweep, mop, and scrub warehouse floors and common areas regularly. • Collect and dispose of trash, cardboard, and other recyclables. • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and office areas. • Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed. • Maintain the cleanliness of loading docks, entrances, and exterior areas. • Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors. • Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment safely. • Assist in setting up and breaking down workstations or event spaces if required. • Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. • Support warehouse team with basic tasks as needed (e.g., organizing supplies, moving boxes). Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous custodial, janitorial, or warehouse cleaning experience is a plus. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices. • Basic understanding of safety and sanitation procedures. • Strong attention to detail and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed. Working Conditions: • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature changes. • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
