Job Description

Role Purpose 
The Warehouse Team Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily fulfilment activities within their assigned functional area. They will implement productivity, quality, and service standards to attain the appropriate level of throughput whilst maintaining on-time / in full compliance.
 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of your team and the wider warehouse community. 
  • Lead your team ensuring appropriate staffing levels, organizing, and directing work within your functional area. 
  • Work collaboratively with other functional areas within both the warehouse and the wider business to deliver service excellence. 
  • Coach and mentor your team to deliver high performance whilst identifying ways to improve processes. 
  • Carry out annual reviews within your functional area and support operative development. 
  • Ensure all HR and employee relation requirements are completed within the relevant timeframe, to a high standard and that Operatives are provided with additional support as necessary. 
  • Deliver daily communications to your team, providing updates on KPI metrics and process enhancements, using root cause analysis to rectify any issues identified. 
  • This list is not exhaustive and may vary as other areas of need are identified.

What You’ll Bring:  
  • Previous experience of leading a team within an FMCG environment with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Self-starter who is highly organized, with a proactive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude to problem solving. 
  • Attention to detail.
  • High levels of initiative, energy and dedication for completing tasks to the highest standards.
  • You should be able to work effectively as an individual, as well as part of the management team and have proven experience in motivating a team and change management.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be competent in English, Math's and have IT skills (Microsoft Excel) and be familiar with workflow management.
