Job Title: Washington EL06 HVAC/R license holder qualifier
Job Summary:
An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) contractor is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. They work in residential, commercial, and industrial settings to ensure HVAC systems are operating efficiently and meet the required codes and regulations. The contractor is expected to provide expert advice, troubleshoot issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Installation:
β’ Install HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment in new or existing buildings.
β’ Ensure that systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
β’ Test and inspect new installations to ensure they are working efficiently.
β’ Maintenance and Repair:
β’ Perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
β’ Diagnose and repair issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
β’ Replace or repair faulty parts, such as compressors, fans, and thermostats.
β’ Clean and replace filters, coils, and ducts as part of the maintenance process.
β’ Customer Interaction:
β’ Provide quotes and estimates for installation, repair, and maintenance services.
β’ Explain HVAC system features and functions to clients and recommend solutions for issues or improvements.
β’ Maintain positive client relationships and ensure satisfaction with services provided.
β’ Compliance and Safety:
β’ Adhere to safety protocols and work in accordance with local building codes and regulations.
β’ Ensure all work meets industry standards and environmental guidelines.
β’ Stay updated on the latest trends, technology, and regulations in the HVAC field.
β’ Documentation and Record Keeping:
β’ Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and customer interactions.
β’ Manage and submit invoices, receipts, and warranty claims.
β’ Document service history and maintenance schedules for clients.
β’ Team Collaboration:
β’ Work with other team members or subcontractors to complete larger projects.
β’ Coordinate with project managers or engineers to ensure the proper setup and maintenance of HVAC systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
β’ High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or apprenticeship in HVAC is preferred.
β’ Valid HVAC contractor license (depending on local requirements).
β’ Proven experience as an HVAC technician or contractor.
β’ Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and industry standards.
β’ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
β’ Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
β’ Strong communication and customer service skills.
β’ Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks.
β’ Ability to work in various environmental conditions and settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Certification in HVAC (e.g., EPA Section 608, NATE).
β’ Experience with smart home HVAC systems or energy-efficient systems.
β’ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $2,500.00 per month
