Summary:
As a Wealth Business Solutions Lead, you will bring your deep business analytical expertise and leadership to drive business case discovery, business consultation and requirement to meet business goals. This role will partner with cross-functional team of business partners, product managers, engineers, designers and subject matter experts from the Wealth and Enterprise to define business requirements, gaps, and scope of work. This role is expected to work independently or lead other business analysts to drive highly complex requirements across multiple business areas / domain.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work directly with cross-functional team and vendors across multiple business areas /domain and lead them through requirements gathering.
- Act as the go-to person for a business area or domain while consulting with junior business analysts.
- Apply business analytical discipline and best practice, identify and document business gap, current state, and future state.
- Develop User Stories and acceptance criteria, reviewing junior business analysts' quality of work.
- Lead user acceptance testing, which includes test planning and execution.
- Support the enterprise to provide business direction and guidance for solutioning in large epics.
- Participate in business strategy planning, facilitate requirements discovery for large / multiple efforts.
- Leverage expertise to lead / participate department level process improvement effort.
- Apply project management skills to complete and advance work.
- May be responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts. Provide consulting or deep business/domain knowledge to junior Business Analysts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a Business Analyst position with demonstrated success. Experience in a leadership role is a plus.
- Experience in developing and managing requirements documents, business process modeling, and project lifecycle management.
- Experience in Financial Service industry.
- Proven track record of successfully working or leading large and highly complex assignments including those with enterprise-wide impact.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, with the ability to synthesize complex concept and present actionable insights.
- Working experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Detail oriented, proficient verbal/written communication skills.
- Proven collaboration skills allowing them to influence without authority with all levels in the organization.
- High degree of personal initiative and motivation.
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, facilitate decision-making and resolve conflict effectively.
Compensation Range:
Pay Range - Start:
$90,930.00
Pay Range - End:
$168,870.00
Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
