Web Content Specialist

BIS Safety Software is a local software firm delivering leading safety software solutions to a global community. We are looking to add a Marketing Manager to our expanding team who can bring varied marketing experience and a strategic mindset to the role.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for bringing our website content to life! You’ll spend your days building 10-20 pages on our WordPress sites—everything from landing pages and product pages to blog posts, client stories, and podcast recaps. You’ll make sure each page looks great, functions smoothly, and is optimized for performance. That means handling animations, banners, and layouts, managing plugins, tweaking SEO elements like H1 tags and internal links, and making sure everything flows seamlessly.

This role will is an in-person position based out of our Sherwood Park, Alberta office.

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Create 10-20 pages daily, including landing pages, blog posts, client write-ups, and other types of content.
• Oversee page design, animations, and banners to ensure a cohesive and engaging user experience.
• Manage the WordPress backend and plugins to maintain site functionality and performance.
• Optimize web pages for performance, including H1 tags, image sizes, internal linking, and overall website flow.
• Monitor content performance and make data-driven adjustments to improve engagement and reach.
• Integrate content with LinkedIn and other social media platforms to enhance reach and engagement.
• Ensure individual pages are safe by implementing best practices to reduce vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with WordPress is a must.
• Experience with SEO and content marketing strategies.
• Some experience with HTML and CSS is an asset.
• Experience with Photoshop or design tools is an asset but not required.
