Web Visual Design Leader

Your Role and Responsibilities
– Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with IBM’s brand guidelines and business objectives
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that visual designs meet the needs of IBM’s diverse customer base
– Lead the creation and maintenance of design standards patterns and guidelines for IBM.com’s global websites
– Work closely with front-end developers to ensure that designs are implemented correctly and meet the highest standards of quality as defined by Carbon design system
– Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in web design
– Manage and mentor visual designers to help them grow professionally and achieve their career goals

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
– Proven experience as a visual and/or web designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work
– Strong portfolio that showcases ability to create visualy stunning designs that are both functional and intuitive
– Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
– Strong understanding of HTML CSS and JavaScript
– Experience working with design systems and sytle guides
– Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
– Knowledgeable in Agile best practices
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
– Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design Web Design or related field

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience working with Carbon design system Adobe Experience Managet (AEM) and Adobe Target.
