Join our Toyota Heavy Duty Team as aWelder! The Role: We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Welder who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, will fabricate and repair metal, equipment, parts, and other materials by applying welding techniques in a safe and efficient manner, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You’ll Be Doing: • Welding aluminum and steel using MIG welder • Operating equipment, including but not limited to: saws, drills, grinders/buffers, plasma cutters, MIG welder/torches, pallet jacks, arc, gouging, jib, and overhead cranes • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and welding materials as required • Notify the supervisor when an item is complete and ready for inspection • Repair customer equipment as required • Meeting/exceeding customer requirements for production and quality • Pay close attention to detail to ensure proper function and performance of installed/fabricated parts What We’re Looking For: • At least 2 years of welding experience • Knowledge of how to use welding machinery, hand tools, and various shop tool • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus • Ability to communicate effectively • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening • What Sets You Apart:* • Experience in an industrial work environment • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, team leader instructions, and written orders • Where and When You’ll Work:* • This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. • Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package Will Look Like: Wage- $21.35 per hour Benefits: • Generous Paid Time Off and 13 Paid Holidays • Affordable Medical plans and no-cost Dental & Vision options • 100% 401k match up to 6% • Company paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability • Tuition Assistance Program • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with access to mental health care, legal support, and financial guidance • Recognition and Kaizen (continuous improvement) Reward Programs • Meaningful opportunities for personal and professional development • Best in class work culture!
