This may include tests for the ability to weld specific materials, in certain positions, or using specific welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.). • Welding Procedure Specification (WPS): In coded welding, the work is done in compliance with a detailed WPS, which specifies the type of welding process, materials, dimensions, and other conditions to ensure the weld is of high quality. • Inspection & Testing: The welded joints are often subject tonon-destructive testing (NDT), such as ultrasonic testing (UT), X-rays, or dye penetrant tests, to verify the quality and integrity of the weld. • Industries: • Coded welding is critical in industries where safety, structural integrity, and performance are of utmost importance.
