Job Title:Welder Oil & Gas and Heavy Equipment Fabrication Location: Dallas, TX 75211 Pay:$23/hour ***MUST have Welding experience as well as certification*** Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experiencedWelderto join our team, specializing in the fabrication and manufacturing of heavy equipment for the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will work on projects such as sheet metal and structural steel enclosures, fuel tanks, silencers, mufflers, and other custom metal fabrications. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: • Perform welding tasks using SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW processes. • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal and structural steel components according to engineering drawings. • Weld and repair equipment, including fuel tanks, mufflers, silencers, and enclosures, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality. • Inspect welds and fabricated components for defects, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards. • Conduct or assist in non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify weld quality. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements. • Operate and maintain welding tools, equipment, and machinery, including CNC machines, plasma cutters, and grinders. • Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment as needed. • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies. • Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production deadlines. • Participate in training to enhance welding techniques and stay updated on industry advancements.Qualifications: Education:High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical welding program is preferred. Certifications: • AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent is required. • Specialized certifications for sheet metal and structural welding are a plus.Experience: • 3 5 years of welding experience in the oil and gas or heavy equipment manufacturing industries. • Proficiency in welding materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.Skills: • Strong understanding of welding symbols, blueprints, and fabrication techniques. • Ability to operate tools like CNC plasma cutters, shears, and brake presses. • Experience with large-scale and precision welding projects.Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or in varying weather conditions. • Stamina to handle long hours and repetitive tasks when needed.#MGR1
