Position: Welder Job Type: Full Time Permanent Job Location: 3233 16th Avenue Southwest, Seattle, WA, USA 98314 Company Description Ray-Mont Logistics is a dynamic organization dedicated to serving as the essential link in the international business logistics supply chain. We offer a range of operational logistics services, including loading, transportation, and storage of surplus products. We are currently seeking a permanent full time Welder to join its vibrant team. The Welder will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks primarily on shipping containers, yard equipment, and various small projects. Work Schedule :Day shift 7 :00 am to 3 :00 pm, Monday to Friday, with availability for additional hours if needed. Main Responsibilities: • Assist the maintenance team with general maintenance and preventative maintenance duties in bagging, bulk, pulp, and general yard maintenance areas. • Maintain accurate and updated repair databases to track maintenance activities and equipment status. • Collaborate with the maintenance team to repair machines and fix equipment issues as needed. • Perform welding tasks on shipping containers to ensure structural integrity and functionality. • Repair shipping containers, including seals, hardware, and floors, to maintain operational standards. • Support daily maintenance activities including cleaning equipment and organizing work areas. • Undertake welding and fabrication projects related to container repair, equipment repairs and construction projects (e.g., building new roof structures, adding guard rails, constructing ramps, and implementing improvements). Qualifications: • 1-2 years of experience in welding, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting. • Completion of Trade School in welding or related field is an asset. • Welding certifications considered an asset.- MIG welding is a must • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently. • Experience with basic mechanics, preventative maintenance, forklift operation, or heavy-duty equipment operation is an asset. • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions. • Comfortable using power tools and machinery. • Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Work Environment :Must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
