WELDER - FS Tech3

Job description:Work in the field in various settings on comprehensive industrial and mechanical projects. Responsible for maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and mining equipment using welding and mechanical skills. This position requires working in adverse weather conditions and working at heights. This position requires traveling and willing to work in different departments in the shop setting when field work is not available with regular overtime. Welding experience and mechanical ability is a must. This position will require being willing to work with our mechanics department and weld shop department regularly when field work is not available. Must be willing to travel or move areas with limited notice. Formal Requirements and Certifications of Job – Required • Minimum 2 years of experience in welding or heavy industrial mechanics • Knowledge of shop mechanics and mechanical equipment • Ability to troubleshoot, identify and correct problems • Good verbal and written communication • Team player with focus on safety and quality • Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task daily • Self-directed and can work with minimal supervision • Willingness to learn • 18 years or older Preferred: • MSHA (Mine, Safety, Health Administration) • OSHA safety training • 2 year Welding degree or certificate • Knowledge of shop mechanics and mechanical equipment • Successfully completed college welding program or have at least 2 years of welding experience including dual shield welding Special Demands • Lift or carry 75lbs We do pre-employment drug testing, functional job analysis and background checks “Equal Opportunity Employer:all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.”
