Addition and subtraction of whole numbers and fractions. • Must know how to read and use a tape measure. • Cut and punch plates using shop equipment like bandsaw and iron-worker. • Torch cut parts using oxy/acetylene and plasma torches. • Cleans connection plates with a wire brush and/or grinder. • Grind the connection plates to fit properly and remove mill scale. • Weld rebar to plate in various positions according to WPS and AWS D1.4 code. • Weld plate to plate in various positions according to WPS and AWS D1.1 code. • Requires standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and lifting for prolonged periods of time. • Requires frequent heavy lifting of steel plates and assemblies 50-75lbs and team lifting over 100lbs. • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor. • Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or General Education (GED) with 1-3 years of work experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. • Required Certifications: Must be or become Tindall Certified in GMAW and Stud Welding. • Additional Job Description • Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and must be able to perform in hot & cold temperatures. Frequently exposed to moving equipment and loads.
