Welder Helper/Laborer

Welders Helper Family owned machine shop looking for a reliable, self-motivating, and quick learner to join our team. Ideally once familiar with the welding procedures and successfully passing a welding test, the welders helper will advance to welder. Job Responsibilities: Assist with grinding and prepping parts for welding. Prepares materials for upcoming jobs, including gathering materials and positioning work pieces. Assist with preheating parts according to designated welding procedure. Prepare finished parts for shipping, including packaging, applying protective coatings, and stamping with serial numbers. Assist with loading and unloading parts from trucks as needed. General shop duties include sweeping, cleaning, maintaining machines and other tasks as needed. Qualifications: Eager to learn and cross train Strong work ethic Reliable transportation/ Ability to arrive to work on time High School Diploma/ GED Must be able to stay focused on tasks to completion Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift heavy objects at times Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner Pay Depends on Experience Please apply through Indeed.
