Maintenance Tech 12 months Location: Torrance, CA • Hours: For training for the first 90 days (Probation) – 1000am-635pm, needs to take a 35-minute lunch After training: 400pm – 1235am, with possibility of OT until 235am and Saturday/Sundays when needed. • Maintain in working order all facility equipment to include conveyor systems, pneumatic stops and lift systems, manual pushcarts, Shipping/Receiving workstations, picking modules, shipping cages, safety barriers and Order Picker platform. (Does NOT include Power Equipment itself and charging systems.) • Minor electrical repair up to 240v. • Administer and maintain annual, bi-annual and monthly preventative maintenance. • Coordinate and Maintain vendor accounts with approval of LAPDC management • Ability to perform special projects outside of standard hours and weekends. (Preplanned and coordinated with tech) • Keeps updated inventory of all equipment and supplies. • Update maintenance tracking log (excel sheet) and communicate progress of projects to management. • Knowledge of handling and disposal of hazardous material. • Maintain an organized and clean maintenance workshop, workstations and equipment/tool storage. • Disposes of trash, job debris, unrepairable material daily; keeps the workshop clean at all times. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of employees and or management staff. • Ability to independently problem solve situations. • Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions. • Proficient in the utilization of electrical test equipment.
