Job Overview Duties involve the fabrication and assembly of signage, including welding components, cutting metal, and ensuring quality control. Key Responsibilities: • Fabrication and Assembly:Cut, weld, and assemble signage components such as channel letters, dimensional signs, and other fabricated signage elements. • Welding Operations:Perform various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick, etc.) according to project specifications. • Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to fabricate and assemble signage accurately. • Quality Control:Inspect welds for quality and ensure they meet specifications and industry standards. • Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and best practices for welding and fabrication. • Equipment Maintenance:Maintain welding equipment, tools, and the work area. • Material Preparation:Prepare metal components by cleaning, cutting, and fitting them according to specifications. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Welding Skills:Proficient in various welding techniques, particularly those applicable to signage fabrication. • Blueprint Reading:Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics for fabrication. • Metal Fabrication:Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and techniques. • Quality Control:Ability to inspect welds and ensure they meet specifications. • Safety Awareness:Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices. • Problem-solving:Ability to identify and resolve issues related to welding and fabrication. • Manual Dexterity:Good hand-eye coordination for precise welding. • Physical Stamina:Ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and work in various positions.
