Welder - Structural

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder - Structural to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, particularly in a construction or manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The successful candidate will contribute to the assembly and construction of structural components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. Duties • Perform FCAW welding on various materials and structural steel. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine project specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to design requirements. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials around the worksite. • Inspect welds for quality assurance and compliance with ASME codes & standards. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations. • Collaborate with team members on assembly projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Skills • Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong focus on structural welding. • Proficiency in FCAW welding techniques • Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including the use of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. • Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates. • Experience with fabrication processes including machining and press brake machine operation. • Strong understanding of rigging principles and safety practices in a manufacturing setting. • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
