Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work effectively in a construction or manufacturing environment. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components while adhering to safety standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
• Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to design requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and finished products as needed.
• Execute rigging tasks for lifting heavy components during assembly or installation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
• Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a construction or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and plasma cutting techniques.
• Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including the use of calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills for measurements.
• Experience with ductwork fabrication and assembly processes.
• Ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines and perform pipe threading tasks.
• Strong understanding of safety practices related to welding and construction environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues during the fabrication process.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.24 - $33.00 per hour
