Welder/Fabricator - TIG

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on construction sites and in manufacturing environments, where precision and safety are paramount. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for fabricating metal components, ensuring adherence to ASME codes and standards, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines. Duties • Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding to fabricate metal parts. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks. • Perform pipe threading, ductwork assembly, and rigging as required for various projects. • Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines. • Collaborate with team members on construction sites to execute projects efficiently. • Use measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements. Skills • Proven experience in construction site environments. • Proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, and plasma cutting techniques. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely. • Familiarity with fabrication processes including assembly, machining, soldering, and sheet metal work. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. • Experience with rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely. • Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding practices.
