Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
• Fabricate and install complex, custom-built production machinery using blueprints, physical models, or verbal direction
• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding with a high degree of proficiency; welding certification is preferred but not required
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, safety protocols, and quality control standards across all work activities
• Contribute to operational efficiency by completing assigned fabrication tasks and supporting team training and development initiatives as needed
Job Duties
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate parts; design and build jigs and fixtures for welding applications
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance Program
• Operate a variety of welding tools and equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, as well as plasma and cutting torches
• Utilize metalworking machinery such as lathes, mills, and bandsaws to support fabrication tasks
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes
• Perform physically demanding tasks involving standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and repetitive motion over extended periods
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and quality standards; wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Support workforce development by assisting with On-the-Job Training (OJT) for new or less experienced employees
Education and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fabrication, mechanical assembly, or electrical repair preferred
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding, with the ability to pass weld tests in each method; certification preferred but not required
• Skilled in reading and interpreting pressure gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments
• Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls is highly desirable
• Forklift certification and proficiency in the use of shop tools and precision measuring devices
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and adapt to cross-functional training opportunities
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) preferred
