Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. You will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal components while ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control measures. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience in various welding techniques. Responsibilities • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure accurate fabrication. • Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with specifications. • Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols. Experience • Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment. • Familiarity with construction site operations is preferred. • Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for precision work. • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. • Experience operating forklifts is a plus. • Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. • Previous exposure to machining or soldering techniques is advantageous.
