Welder/Fitter

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and welding various components according to specifications, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and codes. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and the ability to work with hand tools and welding equipment. The Welder/Fitter will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of production. Responsibilities • Assemble and weld metal components following blueprints and technical drawings. • Ensure all welds meet applicable codes and standards for quality and safety. • Perform plasma cutting as required for various projects. • Interpret schematics to accurately build ductwork and other assemblies. • Utilize hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Operate forklifts as needed to move materials within the workspace. Skills • Proficient in welding techniques with a strong understanding of assembly processes. • Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to welding and fabrication. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during assembly tasks. • Experience with ductwork fabrication is a plus. • Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately. • Competence in using various hand tools safely and effectively. • Familiarity with plasma cutting equipment is advantageous. • Forklift operation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
