Welder/Fitter

Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fitting, with the ability to work with various materials and adhere to industry standards. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. The Welder/Fitter will be responsible for assembling components and ensuring that all work meets the required codes and standards. Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications. • Assemble metal structures and components according to design specifications. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials as needed. • Utilize torch cutting tools for shaping materials. • Measure components accurately. • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards for safety and quality. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications • Proven experience in welding and fitting, with a strong understanding of FCAW techniques. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation. • Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding and fabrication. • Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and other machinery safely. • Ability to perform torch cutting tasks effectively. • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. *Must have reliable transportation *Would perfer Twic Card * Can pass background/drug test Most work is in the field at varies locations, some work at the shop.
