GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Peter Taube, LLC© is expanding in the Los Angeles Area, and we are searching for a team member for the role of Window Treatment Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for completing both the repair of existing manual/automated window treatments and the installation of new manual/automated window treatments in our client homes. For new window treatment installation, our installers successfully execute the vision of our design consultants by carrying out the final stages of the client journey. Installer technicians need to be problem solvers, handy and technical-minded, respectful, good communicators motivated to grow their skills as the industry continually updates. Installers also make sales for simple window treatments, repairs, and cleaning. Installers are prompt, professional, friendly, and prepared.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Professionally measure, repair, and install a variety of hard and soft window treatments including blinds, shades, draperies, shutters, and other types of treatments as specified. These solutions vary in their installation and environment including both motorized/automated solutions and manual solutions in residential and commercial settings.
• Treating surrounding surfaces to ensure safe installation. Cleaning up after working at all job sites.
• Finalize deposits/invoice and collect balances from customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills. Troubleshoot solutions on the job site if issues arise.
• Strong interpersonal spoken and written communication skills.
• Significant customer service and in-home service experience.
• Instruct the customer on how to operate and clean their window treatments and provide information about their warranties.
• Communicate job status updates via phone/tablet and/or directly to the office via phone.
• Coordinate with the office, sales team, and vendors to resolve any difficult installs or issues.
• Pickup and check-in freight, label and organize deliveries in the warehouse.
• Punctual, reliable, possesses a great work ethic and the highest level of integrity.
• An understanding of basic to advanced technology with computers, telephones, mobile devices, and tablets including emails, printing, downloading/uploading to websites.
• Hands-on involvement, open-mindedness, willingness to learn and fail, humility and the ability to function in a highly agile and collaborative environment is crucial to success in this position.
• A team-first mentality and spirit are required, and we encourage an environment where team members contribute ideas to improve the team's capabilities and client experience.
• Experience with Field Management software (e.g., Service Fusion or equivalent) is not required but is desired.
• A branded uniform, tools, company cell phone and electronic devices will be provided and are required for use during working hours.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to work, an Active driver's license and insured vehicle, and Insurable.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds and climb a ladder up to 26 feet in height, and comfortable with the use of man lifts and scaffolding.
• Ability to wear a tool belt and carry tools, parts, and window treatments on job locations.
• Prior general carpentry/workmanship skills/custom installation and experience with and knowledge of basic construction practices such as attaching various frames, rods, and brackets to interior and exterior surfaces. Hand too and power tool experience using tools such as measuring tapes, levels, drills, impact drivers, screws, fasteners, and drill bits for different types of services including drywall, concrete, etc. Drywall patching and interior painting.
• Proven ability and experience accurately measuring within 1/8" with manual and laser measuring devices.
• Ability to learn and install new technology such as automated products. Prior experience with Somfy, Lutron, Rollease and other automation solutions is a plus.
• Ability to fill out forms both handwritten and electronically.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Monday to Friday Day Shift (typically 9-hour shifts/until the daily jobs are completed). Ability to work Saturdays preferred.
• Weekend availability Day Shift (typically 9-hour shifts/until the day's jobs are completed).
