Wood Floor Installer and Sander

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer and Sander to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and sanding, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing various types of wood flooring, while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties • Install a variety of wood flooring materials. • Remove existing flooring, clean and prepare subfloors and clear the work area of debris. • Measure and cut wood flooring to size, arranging and securing pieces according to design plans and specifications. • Repair existing flooring. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation processes. • Execute trim carpentry work, including baseboards and moldings, to enhance the finished appearance. • Conduct fixture installations related to flooring projects. • Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure timely project completion. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of each project. • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with completed work. • Prepare and smooth wood floors by sanding. • Operate floor sanding machines and smaller edgers to smooth wood surfaces and remove imperfections. Qualifications • Proven experience in flooring installation and sanding - five years experience required. • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to flooring installation and sanding tasks. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. • Ability to lift and handle up to 100 pounds. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week Work Location: In person
