Woodworking Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking a Woodworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in woodworking and arts and crafts, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves creating lesson plans for the children, and also ensuring the safety of the children. They are between the ages of 6-12. Duties • Construct, assemble, and repair wooden structures and furniture according to specifications. • Operate woodworking machinery and tools safely and efficiently. • Collaborate with other tradespeople on projects that require mechanical knowledge in areas such as HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical systems. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with OSHA regulations. • Assist in curriculum development for woodworking programs • Provide classroom instruction on woodworking techniques and safety practices. Skills • Proficient in woodworking techniques • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or construction environments. • Experience in teaching preferred. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Has a strong interest in childhood education Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.96 - $120.00 per hour Expected hours: 2 per week Work Location: In person
