This Role…
As a Workday Project Manager at ATD, you will report directly to our Associate Director, Financial & HR Technology, and oversee the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Workday and Adaptive within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, coupled with extensive knowledge of Workday and its modules. This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing system performance.
Specifically, the key initiatives and responsibilities of this role include:

Project Management: Lead end-to-end project management for Workday systems initiatives, including implementation, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to milestones and deadlines.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments, including HR, Finance, IT, and senior leadership, to gather requirements, define project scope, and align priorities.

Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and implementation partners to facilitate system implementations, resolve issues, and optimize system performance.

Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to promote user adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize the benefits of Workday systems. Provide training and support to end users and stakeholders to ensure smooth transition and ongoing system utilization.

Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, requirements documents, testing scenarios, and training materials. Generate regular reports and metrics to track project progress and key performance indicators.

Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new features within the Workday ecosystem.
About You…

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Workday systems implementation and management.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships.

Demonstrates genuine interest in understanding the perspectives of team members, listens attentively, and asks clarifying questions to ensure clear communication.

Experience with change management, training, and user adoption strategies.

Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Experience with vendor management and budget management.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results in a collaborative team setting.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

The ATD Workday team is responsible for the ongoing support, development, and maintenance of ATD's financial and HR systems, including Workday, Adaptive Insights, as well as related reporting and analytics. We work closely with Analytics, HR, Finance Departments, and leadership to improve processes, technological capabilities and insights derived of these systems.
