As an Electrical Designer/Calculator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the optimal electrical design of our dry-type transformers (Standard & Rail), used globally in various sectors such as railways, ships, and power plants. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the energy transition and work on international projects in our Brilon plant. Key responsibilities include electrical design of Resibloc transformers considering the overall cost-optimal solution, active participation in customer-oriented problem-solving, defining and generating material requirements, creating winding instructions, setting product-specific parameters, cost calculation, risk assessment, supporting sales in commercial and technical matters, assisting sales in resolving technical customer queries, conducting measurement data analysis for loss, short-circuit voltage, sound pressure level, and overtemperature optimization, participating in development projects, supporting the development department, contributing to rationalization projects for cost reduction or performance improvement, and helping clarify production issues. Required background includes a completed degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on energy technology (Bachelor or Master) or a Technician with experience in the medium voltage area. Preferred are initial experiences in the calculation of electrical machines and familiarity with simulation tools (Finite Element Method) software. Strong technical affinity, combined with a business-oriented mindset, is essential, along with analytical and problem-solving skills, self-reliance, structured and solution-oriented work approach, quick comprehension, fluency in German and good English skills.
