About the Role

We’re looking for a talented and experienced product designer to join our Product Design UX team to create the best-in-class user experiences for mobile developers. You will be responsible for the user research, product design UX, mockups, complex design challenges and the opportunity to make users’ lives easier with applications that consume billions of data points daily from over 100M devices. You’ll join a growing team of product designers, writers, and researchers who share your passion for bringing great UX to the enterprise space. We learn fast, collaborate enthusiastically, and lay track on the process as we go. What You’ll Do

• Create clear, engaging designs that enable rapid decision-making by security analysts, and admins in IT infrastructure and dev ops
• Lead user research to understand customer needs and inform product designs
• Collaborate with product managers and R&D engineers to understand business priorities and technical feasibility
• Explore design options by creating sketches, workflows, wireframes; prototypes for validation during user research and usability testing
• Communicate design alternatives with confidence, and absorb feedback with grace
• Socialize design concepts both within the UX team, as well as with PM and R&D Engineering, to ensure platform coherence across multiple concurrent initiatives
• Provide guidance to R&D engineers as your designs get built into products
• Coach and support teammates (across the globe) on complex challenges

Basic Qualifications

• You’re compelled to ask “why”
• You need to know your work has a purpose
• Excellence in interaction design, information architecture, and data visualization
• Expertise in design facilitation; familiarity with a variety of research techniques
• Knowledge of when to seek customer feedback to inform design at crucial stages
• Success on both blank-slate initiatives and on projects for established platforms and products
• Ability to estimate UX work, assess and mitigate risk, and make tough prioritization calls, coordinating operationally with cross-functional leads
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and collaboration skills

Gathering is integral to our culture for collaboration and connection. We want to ensure that all of our new hires have the ability to travel and meet other team members. We estimate the travel for any given role to be a couple of days every month or two. In order to gather, new hires must be able to meet our COVID vaccination requirement as we continue to help our team limit risk.

Our salary range for Product Design starts at $110K. We're seeking someone in the $110K-$180K range here. Note that this is a guideline base salary range and if you have questions, we would love to discuss!
