Job Title:    Software Developer – Products

Classification:   Full-time Exempt

Job Summary:  The Software Developer position provides individuals an opportunity to apply their skills in a dynamic work environment while developing well-rounded competencies in ISN’s products and services. As a member of ISN’s Product Development team, the Software Developer will be developing front end web pages and behind-the-scenes database of ISNetworld. The position exposes individuals to the complete Software Development Life Cycle.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Develop and design web pages using ASP.Net
• Develop and design database objects, such as tables, stored procedures, functions, etc.
• Write processes and queries to import and export data at fixed frequencies and per request
• Develop and maintain mobile hybrid applications, web applications, and web services
• Scale applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality
• Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly
• Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve productivity
• Learn new software tools and skills as needed
• Be able to visit and have calls with clients in order to gather requirements and gain understanding of development requests
• Research and develop new ways to improve existing functionality
• Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement

Requirements

Education and Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience

Knowledge and Skills

• Web Development using ASP.Net
1. ASP.Net MVC 5 – Minimum 3 years
2. VB.Net and/or C# – Minimum 3 years
3. HTML – Minimum 2 years
4. CSS – Minimum 2 years
5. JavaScript – Minimum of 2 years
6. jQuery – Minimum of 1 year
• Database Development using T-SQL; writing complex queries, stored procedures and functions
1. Minimum experience of 3 years
• Knowledge of .NET Core/.NET 5 a plus
• Knowledge of ASP.NET Web Forms a plus
• Web services development experience using REST, JSON, XML
• Proficiency with hybrid and native app development for Android and iOS platforms.
• Strong understanding of OOP design, algorithms, and design patterns
• Understanding of cloud development with Azure services a plus
• Understanding of software engineering practices
• Understanding of best practices in mobile UX design
• Knowledge of Bootstrap, Sass, React, Angular a plus
• Scale applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality.

The location: ISN is based in Dallas, TX. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the country, with a wide variety of excellent schools, entertainment venues, sports teams, and museums. ISN’s headquarters is in uptown Dallas, a short walk from multiple restaurants and shops, with easy access to public transportation and major highways.

Employees must be within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX office and be willing to come into the office for required trainings, events, team activities, and meetings.
