Stamps.com is the leading provider of postage online and shipping software solutions to customers including individuals, small businesses, e-commerce shippers, enterprises with multiple locations and high volume mailers and shippers. Stamps.com offers software solutions that help businesses run their shipping and mailing operations. Stamps.com is part of Auctane, along with other leading solutions such as ShipStation, ShipEngine, Metapack and ShippingEasy.
About The Team:
The Store team is responsible for the e-commerce store inside the Stamps.com platform (store.stamps.com). The store sells supplies such as printers, labels and packing materials to the hundreds of thousands of users of Stamps.com. The store is a crucial part of the Stamps.com business and is responsible for a key part of our revenue targets.
About The Role:
You will join our team as the primary engineer responsible for C#, .NET and Shopify development for our existing Shopify business. You’ll managing our separate middleware technology stack in .NET (AWS Lambda) that connects our main Stamps.com platform to our Shopify site. You’ll be working in developing and maintaining our Shopify site using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You will have full ownership of the maintenance, execution, and delivery of both technology stacks, working directly in collaboration with business and product managers in an agile environment. You will report to the Stamps.com VP of Engineering.
Primary Objectives:
- Maintain and extend our .NET serverless architecture using AWS Lambda
- Develop and maintain an existing Shopify site using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Collaborate with product team to understand and breakdown requirements into technical tasks for sprints
- Ensure our Shopify site is up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate Shopify with other systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify developments and trends.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing our separate middleware technology stack in C# .NET (AWS Lambda) that connects our main Stamps.com platform to our Shopify site.
- Developing and maintaining our Shopify site using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
What We Are Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience in C# .NET development.
- Experience in AWS Lambda or similar serverless environment.
- Experience in marketing or attribution tools is a plus.
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with a team of product and business collaborators
- Being your own boss in managing decisions of for architecture, development, testing and deployment
What will Make You Stand Out:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology, including ticket breakdown of product requirements, estimating, and delivering
- 3+ years of experience in Shopify development.
- Strong understanding of Shopify APIs and ability to develop custom solutions.
- Use Shopify APIs to develop custom solutions to improve site functionality.
The Tech:
- 4+ years of experience in .NET development
- 3+ years of experience in Shopify development
- Experience in AWS Lambda or similar serverless environment
Travel Requirements:
- There will be no travel for this role.
Additional Position Duties:
- Stand for prolonged periods of time
- Walking and climbing stairs throughout the office
- Utilize wrist and hands for a prolonged period of time
- Speaking and conversing with others
- Ability to bend, lift, stretch and climb to maintain equipment
- Lift up to 50lbs without assistance up to chest height
