Description of Role:
The .NET Developer is an essential contributor within a compact team. This role drives innovation and improvement in our systems, playing a critical role in maintaining and creating in-house windows and web applications catering to various departmental needs. They may receive guidance from the Software Development Manager or be required to solicit requirements directly from key stakeholders.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain both the front-end and back-end of web applications.
- Migrate and upgrade legacy Windows applications to web platforms.
- Craft and execute queries for MSSQL databases and guide database design.
- Debug and refine applications, ensuring bugs are addressed, and feature updates are seamlessly implemented.
- Communicate effectively with developers, IT staff, and end-users.
- Proactively identify both production and non-production application issues.
- Seek opportunities to fine-tune and optimize existing systems.
- Engage in collaborative sessions on architecture design and decision-making.
- Independently manage and execute more minor projects.
- Proactively solicit requirements when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least three years of .NET development experience.
- Minimum of 2 years working with SQL or T-SQL.
- A bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant work experience/certifications.
Preferred Skills:
- Solid understanding of C#, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET MVC.
- Proficiency in SQL or T-SQL.
- Proficiency with Git.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or jQuery.
- Knowledge of .NET Core is an added advantage.
- Experience or understanding of reporting tools/methodologies is beneficial.
- An innate detail-oriented perspective, self-discipline, reliability, and an ability to initiate and manage tasks.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a knack for abstract and analytical thinking.
