Ardent is seeking a .Net Developer  to join our team.  

This is a hybrid role with work performed on-site in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a highly skilled .NET Developer with a strong background in .NET and Microsoft stack technologies. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of software development best practices, architecture patterns, and a diverse range of tools and frameworks. The role requires proficiency in Visual Studio, TFS, MS SQL Server/Oracle, ASP .NET MVC, jQuery, CSS3, and Bootstrap.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable software applications using .NET and related technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to understand requirements and implement effective software solutions
• Participate in the entire software development life cycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Apply software development best practices and architectural patterns to ensure robust and maintainable code.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance code quality and efficiency. Identify and address technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and other issues to ensure optimal application performance and user experience.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, frameworks, and tools, and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration of software applications with backend systems and databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
•  Document software designs, technical specifications, and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration.

Requirements:  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• A minimum of 3-6 years with strong proficiency in .NET framework and related technologies, including C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
• Extensive experience with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS) for version control, source code management, and collaboration
• Solid understanding of database concepts and experience working with MS SQL Server/Oracle or other relational databases.
• Proficiency in front-end web development technologies, including jQuery, CSS3, and Bootstrap, to create intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, such as Agile methodologies, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Experience with cloud platforms and services, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Knowledge of frontend JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular or React.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks, such as NUnit or xUnit.
• Understanding of software security best practices and experience implementing secure coding techniques.
