#10252 - GIS Data Engineer (Apache Spark, Python, GCP, ESRI)

Q Analysts (A Qualitest Company) is looking for a GIS Data Engineer our client in Mountain View, CA. The GIS Data Engineer will work on various GIS Data projects and software integration projects. We are looking for a professional with good attention to detail, good follow through, and a can-do attitude coupled with a background in Data Engineering. Previous experience with Google Fiber, GCP, Apache Spark, Apache Clusters is very desirable.

• Responsibilities include, design, develop, optimize, and maintain data storage and reporting.
• Work closely with engineering teams to design and acquire log level data. Create and optimize dashboards.
• Write and review technical documents, including requirements and design documents for existing and future data systems, and data standards and policies.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to enable a seamless communication of risks, dependencies and schedules across hardware and software teams.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python/Bash/Linux
• 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, solution engineering, or technical consulting
• 3 or more years of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages (preferred)
• Experience with Apache Spark and Apache Clusters.

Nice to Have:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
• Experience with Esri, GCP, Cloud SQL Server, or Google Fiber
• Experience managing BIG data sets.
• Experience using Machine Learning technologies to build solutions
• Software integration experience
