This is a bargaining unit position.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Incumbent must be currently enrolled or have completed a degree program that includes or included 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, of which at least 12 semester hours are/were in mathematics and 6 semester hours are/were in statistics.

This position may be non-competitively converted to a GS-1529-09/11/12 career ladder position after meeting all regulatory requirements (including qualification requirements), and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.

Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education
or

Post-Secondary student on Term appointments may be non-competitively converted to a permanent, competitive service, career-conditional appointment upon completion of all academic program requirements. However, conversion is neither automatic, nor guaranteed. Conversion will be at the discretion of the supervisor.
Post-secondary students are hired via term appointment with noncompetitive conversion eligibility to permanent upon completion of degree requirements.
Work schedule (full-time or part-time) will be dependent upon student's class schedule.
Post-secondary students will initially be appointed to a term appointment in the competitive service for a period expected to last more than 1 year not to exceed 4 years; they may be non-competitively converted to a career or career-conditional appointment within 120 days of successfully completing the qualifying academic program.
