LPN/LVN – Long-Term Care Night Shift (Bloomfield, NM) | 9-Week Contract, $1,242/36 hrs

Ref #: C-LPN-9059590 Type: Contract (Non-Travel) Location: Bloomfield, NM Start: ASAP Duration: 9 weeks Schedule: Tue–Thu, 5:00 PM–5:30 AM Rate: Local — $1,242 / 36 hours Minimum Requirements: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license BLS certification Primary Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician supervision (medication administration, wound care, vital signs). Conduct patient assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans. Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately per protocols. Manage wounds and incisions: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection/complications. Monitor and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration) and changes in condition. Maintain accurate patient records of treatments, medications, and status changes. Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive measures. Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure proper IV line function. Provide catheter care (insertion, maintenance, monitoring). Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing. Collaborate with healthcare team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) for coordinated care. Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and pain management. Respond to medical emergencies following protocols and provide basic life support as needed. Follow infection control procedures and proper PPE use. Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies per regulations. Advocate for patients’ rights and needs. Participate in ongoing education to maintain current nursing practices. May supervise CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
