Duties
You will servs as a GSSO managing and administers all aspects of numerous and diverse SAP compartmented programs; in addition, the incumbent will serve as the SCIF Manager.
You will authoritative security guidance for pre-construction maintenance and modification, including alarms, facility checklists, standard procedures and practices and other documentation required in accreditation approvals for program areas.
You will develop, author and implement Command Policy on all security requirements for PEO Digital and customers.
You will provide and approve candidates are suitable for SAP access prior to submitting Program Access Requests, administers program indoctrinations/terminations, processes special clearance visit certifications through compartmented channels.
You will maintain controls of SAP documentation as well as receives and dispatches SAP materials. Responsible for maintaining document and media
accountability logs.
You will review and provide authoritative guidance involving the derivative creation; safeguarding requirements; and control of classified material, to
include proper destruction requirements.
You will maintain liaison and coordinate with the ISSM, Force Protection Officer, other command officials and cognizant Regional Security Officers on
issues impacting the assigned security programs for the Program.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current DCSA Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Physical Security Certification within two years.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band DP-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing continuity of security for facility, personnel, visitor control, and/or document control as well as policy guidance and support to Program Office personnel members on security management; AND leading investigations of security incidents to include reporting documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT. Section 1109 of the National Defense Authorization Act Fiscal Year 2020 Public Law 116-92 amended Section 9905 of title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.) to streamline and simplify certain Department of Defense civilian Direct Hire Authorities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates directly to certain positions in the competitive service in the Department of Defense.
This position is in the Personnel Demonstration Project under authority of Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978.
The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4.
DP-4 Control Point; ARLINGTON, VA; SALARY STATEMENT: If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $143,913 - $187,093 (Base $107,446 - $139,684 plus 33.94% locality adjustment).
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the pay band, including higher responsibility positions. Based on the responsibilities of this position (DP-04, Control Point), the total adjusted salary may be capped equivalent to GS-14 Step 10 (currently $187,093 Adjusted Pay).
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
