Summary
This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0668000and is part of UTES located in Camp Williams, UT, with the Utah Army National Guard.
IAW UTNGR 690-12 dated AUG 2022, Priority will be given to all current, onboard employees of the UTARNG.

Duties
Major Duties: This is not an all-inclusive list
As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-9, you will:
Supervises a group of subordinates (usually three or more) in performing supply work.
Explains work requirements, methods and procedures and gives special instructions on difficult or different operations.
Ensures that the quantity and quality of work performed are acceptable.
Requests filling of vacancies, recommends promotions, reassignments or other status changes.
Makes recommendations in the selection of subordinates.
Approves and disapproves leave and recommends action in unusual cases.
Formulates training plans for subordinates and recommends training courses.
Informs subordinates in matters of personnel management, equal employment opportunity, position classification and position management.
Responsible for the property book operations of the organization in the areas of inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination and supply management.
Ensures the property book sections periodically perform asset visibility rebuild to validate
data in the asset visibility files.
Is accountable for various categories of property.
Maintains property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property.
Establishes hand receipt files for each unit, whether separate or organic to battalions of the brigade, and maintains accountability by the use of hand receipt listings.
Assures that all authorized property is on hand or has been requisitioned to assist in maintaining the highest level of readiness for the brigade.
Coordinates the assignment and transfer of equipment assets to enhance mobilization readiness.
Schedules and directs the conduct of periodic inspections, inventories and change of hand receipt accounts to assure supplies are serviceable, properly stored, maintained and accounted for as required by competent authority.
Reviews reports of survey to determine accountability in case of loss or damage to property.
Provides written guidance and directives of the requirements involved during the change of primary hand receipt holder.
Establishes quality edit procedures and oversees the edit of all documents.
Ensures that documents are accurate prior to entry into the automated system.
Establishes administrative procedures and oversees the flow of documents and reports through the Property Book Office to assure complete, accurate, and timely submission of data.
Review and analyze listings and reports produced by the automated system, Resolves problems on error listings, and provides guidance to personnel assigned to the Property Book Office.
Performs continuing analysis of the property accounting and equipment status reporting system to assure data provided is complete, accurate and timely.
Coordinates with the USP&FO and subordinate units of the brigade on the lateral transfer and/or turn in of excess property.
This includes analyzing the proposed transfer/turn in action and its impact on readiness.
Coordinates annual supply reconciliations with the USP&FO.
Also coordinates the processing of backorder reconciliations and equipment status profiles.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. National Guard Membership is required.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Medical screening will be completed upon selection for hire.
Soldiers who accept a technician position may be terminated from the Bonus and Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP).
Pending analysis, you may be required to complete a new 1-year probationary period when moved to this position IAW CNGBI 1400.25.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions; and experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-2005-7? (Must provide SF 50 to validate response)
OR
Must have knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts. Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc., Experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions
SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE:
Must have experience in managing the function of the work to be performed, and experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
