Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Strategic Systems Support Element (SSSE), Alexandria, Virginia. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time. Must pass Organization Personnel Reliability Program that includes a credit check, drug screening and CI polygraph. Must be willing and able to participate in organization operations and training CONUS and OCONUS. May be required to work overtime or irregular hours. Analyzing or advising on software and hardware design for space and high-altitude models. 2. Researching and conveying information regarding space control and emerging technical requirements. This experience might include representing the Command at various meetings for inter/intra-agency coordination.
