Further, the candidate will be comfortable working with quantitative data including having experience cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing data using statistical software or other programming languages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, STATA, R, Python). The ideal candidate would understand research methodologies commonly utilized in the health care innovation space and be able to help recommend research methodologies with limited client input.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

JOB DUTIES.

  • Find patterns in data and clearly articulate the entire analysis (e.g., methodology, results, assumptions, constraints) and key takeaways in a way that is understandable to lay people and researchers alike.
  • Creatively develop rigorous analysis plans given limitations with data availability, data completeness, and representativeness of data.
  • Creatively apply visualizations to data using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports, presentations, and charts based on research, collection, and analysis of data.

DESIRED SKILLS.

  • Strong hands-on analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) and VHA Support Service Center (VSSC) data.
  • Experience working with process-based and outcomes-based healthcare data.
  • Thorough understanding of the clinical healthcare environment and metrics used to evaluate continuous quality improvement efforts.
