Summary
This position is located in the Executive Office of the President, Office of Administration, Office of the Chief Operations Officer - Mail and Logistics Management Division. This position performs work in support of the Remote Delivery Site (RDS), primarily in asset management and in receiving and distribution of supplies. The incumbent will serve as a Supply Technician responsible for receiving, stocking, and inspecting supplies.

Duties
As a Supply Technician (MVO), GS-2005-7, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Performs duties associated with the records management program, which will entail receiving properly boxed and labeled records, delivery of such records to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
Assists in coordinating the logistics to receive, transport, distribute and store bulk furniture, equipment, and supplies.
Coordinates with USSS and customers to direct deliveries to the complex.
Performs surveys of offices to determine manpower and transportation requirements to deliver or remove property.
Prepares space in warehouse for component property requiring storage.
Drives a box truck NTE GVW of 26,000 lbs., minivan, sports utility vehicle, or industrial equipment. Determines most efficient route to expedite deliveries.
Operates industrial equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Performs minor preventative maintenance on equipment.
Repairs, alters and maintains wood/wood substitute components of furniture. Re-purposes shelves, counters, cabinets, bookcases and related features. Repairs furniture items, (e.g. bureaus, dressers, buffets and stands). Constructs items such as frames, plaques, stands, coatracks, etc. where accurate spacing and fit are essential and appearance important.

You may be required to complete a two-year trial period if not previously completed in an excepted service position.

Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).
This is a Drug Testing Designated Position (DTDP) and is covered by the Executive Office of the President Drug-Free Workplace Program.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standards.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
You may qualify at the GS-07 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector, that demonstrates the following:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector that demonstrates (1) interpreting and applying federal guidelines for supply and property management; receiving, inspecting, and stocking supplies (2) processing and inventorying customer requisitions for supplies; (3) utilizing various automated systems to annotate stock.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
