152.2 Junior System Analyst

We are currently in search of a Junior System Analyst who possesses 2-3 years of experience in story writing, agile methodologies, and proficiency in tools such as Jira and Confluence. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in gathering and refining requirements, managing Kanban and Scrum boards, as well as a fundamental understanding of Atlassian tools and AWS.

Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering:

• Collaborate with teams and customers to gather and document business and technical requirements.
• Conduct interviews and analysis sessions to extract essential project information.

Story Writing:

• Create clear, concise user stories aligning with business objectives and technical feasibility.

Agile Methodologies:

• Apply agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Jira and Confluence Expertise:

• Use Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Maintain and update documentation regularly.

Refining Requirements:

• Work with stakeholders to refine and clarify requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure changes are documented, communicated, and implemented effectively.

Kanban/Scrum Board Management:

• Assist in the management of Kanban and Scrum boards to optimize workflow and collaboration.
• Monitor and adjust board configurations as needed.

Atlassian Tools and AWS:

• Gain familiarity with Atlassian tools and understand their role in project management.
• Develop a basic understanding of AWS services in system analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, focusing on agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in story writing and creating user stories.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Exposure to Kanban and Scrum methodologies.
• Basic understanding of Atlassian tools and AWS services.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• U.S. citizen or Authorized to work and lived continuously in the U.S. for three (3) of the last five (5) years.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust background investigation.
• This job is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship.
• THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDENCY IN MARYLAND OR NORTHERN VIRGINIA and is PARTIAL REMOTE 2 DAYS A WEEK. THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FULL REMOTE SCHEDULE.
