Our dynamic team is currently looking for an Associate Systems Analyst who is ambitious and detail-oriented. As a crucial member of our technology department, you will use your expertise in Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies to support the success of our projects. The perfect candidate will possess a strong interest in technology, exceptional analytical skills, and a drive to learn and excel in a collaborative and innovative atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

Jira Proficiency:

  • Create, document, and manage user stories in Jira, ensuring clear articulation of features, functionalities, and acceptance criteria.
  • Customize and configure Jira workflows to align with project processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date task management.

Confluence Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, requirements, and collaboration spaces within Confluence.
  • Ensure the organization and accessibility of Confluence pages for effective team collaboration.
  • Integrate Confluence with other tools to enhance documentation workflows.

Agile Methodologies:

  • Assist in sprint planning, backlog management, and burndown chart analysis within an Agile framework.
  • Work closely with the team to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile processes within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role or as an IT project team member.
  • Proficiency in Jira for task and issue tracking, workflow customization, and sprint planning.
  • Experience with Confluence for documentation, collaboration, and integration with other tools.
  • Understanding the software development lifecycle, focusing on translating business requirements into clear and actionable user stories.
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning and backlog management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Important Information about this job:

  • U.S. citizen or Authorized to work and lived continuously in the U.S. for three (3) of the last five (5) years.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust background investigation.
  • This job is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDENCY IN MARYLAND OR NORTHERN VIRGINIA and is PARTIAL REMOTE 2 DAYS A WEEK. THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FULL REMOTE SCHEDULE.
  • Fully-vaccinated status for COVID-19 is required as a condition of employment.
